On November 7, 2024, in Nor Hachn community, within the framework of the "Strengthening Protection Mechanisms for Rights of Forcibly Displaced Persons from Nagorno-Karabakh" project, the Project lawyer provided free legal consultation to forcibly displaced persons from Artsakh and presented the
armrights.am electronic platform.
The
armrights.am digital platform has crucial significance in ensuring accessibility, information centralization, transparency, and efficiency. It also contributes to data collection and awareness raising. During the meeting, the website sections, their significance, as well as the process of submitting applications and tracking their progress were presented in detail. All this aims to help displaced persons effectively utilize this important resource.
During the meeting, issues related to the legal and social protection of forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh were discussed. In particular: mechanisms for recalculation and payment of unpaid pensions as of September 2023, procedures for regulating proceedings initiated by the Judicial Acts Compulsory Enforcement Service, the process of restoring identification documents (birth certificates, military service books), legal regulations of the state support program for housing provision to forcibly displaced families, the procedure for granting temporary protection status (refugee) certificates in the Republic of Armenia, mechanisms for restoring disability status confirmation documents, as well as issues of ensuring legal grounds for residence in state and community-owned territories.
The meeting was also attended by Julietta Arustamyan, Chairperson of the NGO Network Management Board for Protection of Rights of Forcibly Displaced Persons from Artsakh and Executive Director of "Harmonia" Shushi Women's NGO.

The "Strengthening Protection Mechanisms for Rights of Forcibly Displaced Persons from Nagorno-Karabakh" project is implemented by the Armenian Lawyers Association in cooperation with "Harmonia" Shushi Women's NGO within the framework of the "Monitoring of Justice Sector Reforms in Armenia" (www.juremonia.am) project funded by the European Union.
