Within the framework of the “Strengthening Mechanisms for the Protection of the Rights of Persons Forcibly Displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh” project, the Armenian Lawyers’ Association (ALA) provides free legal assistance to forcibly displaced persons in vulnerable situations, including socially disadvantaged and unemployed individuals, persons with disabilities, students, women, and others.
As part of this project, Elina Aghajanyan approached the ALA seeking assistance in having her son included in the list of beneficiaries eligible for assistance provided to forcibly displaced persons.
Following a review conducted by the ALA, it was concluded that the applicant’s son met the requirements established by the Government of the Republic of Armenia for assistance programs intended for forcibly displaced persons.
On this basis, the ALA sent an official letter to the Unified Social Service, requesting that the individual be included in the list of beneficiaries.
The request was granted. The individual received a one-time financial assistance payment of AMD 100,000 and was subsequently able to submit an online application in the child’s name to benefit from the social assistance measure established under Government of the Republic of Armenia Decision No. 1763-L of October 12, 2023.
